Been living in Monroe for more than 4 years and never thought to check this place out till my mom was visiting, saw the reviews and insisted we go for breakfast. The food is excellent, the portions are huge and the wait staff is super courteous and attentive. I'm a picky eater- I had the waffle combo, with bacon, eggs and subbed fruit for potatoes. Everything was great. Husband had the cinnamon roll combo with fruit instead of potatoes (it looked so good I might get that next time). My mom who is a pickier eater than me got the chicken fried steak and said it's one of the best she has ever had. Pro tip - come early (we did) cause this place gets packed! It was very busy by the time we left, probably because it's so great. 5 stars all around, we will be back!

Enjoyed the efficient door dash service last night, food arrived quickly during busy weeknight traffic. Had the machaca and added avocado and jalepeno with no cheese and the hubs got the tacos chihuahua and added jalepeno. Every request was fulfilled to perfection. The machaca is like pork pot roast in scrambled eggs. So delish in corn tortilla. Top it with some rice, beans, avo, lime juice, house hot sauce. It's the best street taco ever. Hubs polished his tacos chihuahua... Perfect weeknight dinner brought to you when you don't want to fight Monroe traffic!

I finally got to give Hwy 2 Fusion Diner a try. In the past, I've always avoided coming here, mostly due to the parking. My mom frequents this restaurant and always talks about how great their food is. We finally had the opportunity to give it a try, and I was pleasantly surprised. Despite the parking situation, I will definitely be back. The biscuits and gravy definitely hit the spot

Fusion food can sometimes be tedious depending where you go and the recipe. But despite the name here it's more like a Mexican dish OR a diner dish as opposed to both elements combined on one plate. But in the case of HWY 2 Fusion Diner I don't think it would pose too much of a problem if that were so. The food we ordered here was wonderful! Steve had some marvelous pancakes and while I often have an active sweet tooth in the morning and could easily get something like this I went in another direction and got Huevos Rancheros and really was highly impressed. Perfectly made, just a bit of complexity, fresh ingredients and excellent flavor this Huevos Rancheros I could have routinely. The restaurant is quite popular so coming early, especially on a weekend is very important otherwise you could very well be in for a long wait. Not that it isn't worth it but if you can avoid it then do so.

Fusion it is not. But a great value, it is. 75% of the menu is dinner fair and the other 25% is American Mexican. The kid menu is truly a great family value meal. French toast was really good. The breakfast sausage was flat and I wonder about the quality inside, that said I have had a lot worse sausages. Staff was nice and the food arrived quickly. The restaurant is just above generic and part of a gas station was the surprise when we got there.

I now ask myself, why did I not come here sooner? It's hard to find decent places to eat here in Monroe. I got the country fried steak, which was way beyond delicious, and my husband got the enchiladas montadas. All were excellent! The only reason I gave a four instead of 5 was that the service was a bit lacking. We weren't offered more water until we asked for our check and cups were empty for some time after we got our meal. We will be back, and hopefully, I can update my review. The place was bigger than I thought as well. It was not crowded at all as I expected it would be looking at it from the outside.

We came here for on Saturday around brunch time. There was about a 5-10 minute wait but service overall was great! We had a pancake combo platter and a pollo asada platter. Both were delicious! The food was cooked perfectly. My pancake platter was a bit large so I wasn't able to finish the eggs and sausages but they were nonetheless delicious. It can get busy and crowded here, so be prepared to be around some hustle and bustle. Overall, I'd come back. Happy eating!

Our waitress was AMAZING! She was the most attentive waitress we have ever really experienced at any restaurant. The place was packed on Sunday around 11am-12pm but she kept on top of her tables. She gave every single one of her tables the same attention and friendly service! We ordered a cinnamon roll, biscuits and gravy, eggs Benedict, and a fried jalapeno on the side. My husband is a huge fan of spice. The spicier the food, the better. He loved that they offered fried jalapeños on the side. The food was great! It was all so delicious and for a great price!

Good food, excellent service in a comfortably casual setting. I've had breakfast here twice, and both times were worthwhile experiences. If you're not willing to show up early, be prepared for a wait. During my most recent visit, I ordered the Chilaquiles and my boyfriend ordered the chicken fried steak. This was the first time I tried Chilaquiles, so I don't have a comparison point, but I liked them. The refried beans served alongside them were especially good. I also ordered a strawberry crêpe on the side, because I was craving something a little sweet. It was very good! The chicken fried steak was good, but both my boyfriend and I have had much better. If you want the best chicken fried steak around, try the Stilly Diner in Arlington. My boyfriend asked for a biscuit instead of toast, and the biscuit was outstanding! Service was quick and very friendly. Keep in mind that they charge a service fee if you pay with a credit card. If you're out in Monroe and I want a good meal, this is a good option.
